Great day in the mountains, hike in worthwhile. The rain cleared and had some blue in the sky. Fished for about 6hrs, finally rewarded with a trout, caught on a wet diawl bach after trying numerous other patterns through the day.

Having watched the video of this beat on your site, it suggests fishing the far end where the river flows into the reservoir, It would be helpful to anglers if instructions could be included as to how to access this part of the reservoir. My 10-year-old daughter and I walked through a very boggy, muddy, path through an overgrown forest trail to reach this area, not realising we could have walked the road route and easily crossed the river which would have taken half the time. Thanks

Got on about midday after a long drive. Water lowish, a bit coloured but looking very fishable. Weather overcast & very warm with storms in the air. High sticked a Czech nymph duo up Lady Alexander’s Catch and fetched a couple of knocks until mid-way up when I pulled out a feisty WBT from shallower water. Didn’t stay on!
Sat down for a snack and drink and the sun emerged with some sparse insect life so I started to ponder a dry.
As I sat watching the water it rose by 6 inches in as many minutes! That push of muddy water turned off the fish for the rest of the day so I pulled a bit of balsam.
