Great looking beat, lots of likely looking pools but other than 2 hook ups that ended up coming off at the lower limit of the beat no fish caught.

I had 8 brown trout and my guest had 2.Best fish 18 in or so. 2bigger fish lost. Sadly no hatch of March Browns!! So all fish taken on upstream nymph
Weather horrific. Downstream wind, rain and hail storms

Caught on an orange collared pheasant tails nymph.

Changeable weather, lovely to be out of London and on the river.
LDOs were coming off from mid morning but we didn't find any rising fish.
8 WBT landed between the two of us, biggest 19".

Weather too extreme!

Very overgrown and unkept.

I started at 10.00am with the gauge at 2’4, just about ok for the fly, but the river lifted slowly again and was carrying quite a lot of colour when I packed up at 4.
Gravel catch and Bridge yielded a few good trout to big tubes but another salmon blank today.
