Lovely mild and still day for early March. Nearly all of the action was on dry fly between 12.30 - 1.30, coinciding with trickle hatches of LDO and MB. Fish caught on Comparadun, DHE and Klinkhamer.

River was a chocolate brown colour but at a decent level. We fished several swims and used a variety of baits. Only one bite between us all day, one barbel about 6lbs on a Vortex baits pellet. A tough day but at least it stayed dry.

Ledger fishing with pellet and meat. Bites came quickly in last light. River chocolate brown static- maybe slightly rising at 2m.

Only fished from 3pm to 6pm. 1 bite, 1 fish with a Chub of about 5lb

Conditions looked good and I caught a nice 2lb trout after a few mins on a black woolly bigger. Got harder after that! Few knocks on the same woolly bugger, and tried nymphing the pockets, but nothing else to the net all day. Saw a handful of LDOs in the air and witnessed one splashy rise, otherwise very quiet indeed.

We caught 6 Barbel to 9lb 14oz & 22 Chub with 3 fish over 5lb best was 5lb 10oz, great day.

This is JD RDs daughter I caught a nice 4lb chub sadly that was the only bite for me of the day river fairly good condition back again tomorrow to snag a barbel hopefully

One barbel v good fish but did not have scales with me may be u can guess weight?
