Intended to fish the Lucky Stones but water levels made that a bit treacherous and after losing 2 lots of feeder tackle in the rocks I moved down to a comfy grass peg below the wood. In the lashing rain I had 14 chub, all to feeder and boilie.

Beaded nymph with spider dropper . Good grayling measured at 16 inch. All trout over size limit best 2 fish 12 inch. Water low and weather deteriorated to heavy rain in the evening . Most fish from middle beat but that was fished early afternoon before rain

8lb cock fish for Dan white, very lively fish caught on flying c.Crickhowell club water ! Safely returned

2 at 9.5lbs and 1 at 9.0 lbs....rest were 8's, 7's couple 6's.....and 5 big chub, 2 eels. The bank was treacherous with the rain, I had crampons on which were needed. In the very edge the depth was 5ft, be careful in all the swims. Also I tackled down and stripped off 6 foot of line a couple of times due to rock damage....before the line broke on a fish. One of the barbel had a hook in it with 5 inches of line still attached, although that might have occurred in a different swim, better to spend a few minutes and check the line every few casts.

River swelling due to rain. Still clear but running faster as day progressed. A few risers but no takers. Hatching of blue dun.

Lovely beat, small spate fining off in reasonable condition, some great pools but such a shame no Salmon seen. Many thanks all.
