Disappointing day. Just one 3ib chub on the float. Nothing on the feeder.

2nd day at home fishery hard day again it seems there is an abundance of eels this year waste of time fishing meat pretty much seized on straight away even taking pellets as well,only chub on float which seemed the only way to stop catching eels.

Success at last..biggest at 10lb 10..rest all over 6lb...fastest, deepest water I could find, 3bits of corn on a hair rig. Lost two hours fishing cos of idiots in canoes....about time W&UF had a word with the boat companies about river etiquette....otherwise..given the current mood we could have a riot on our hands...

River level low. Fishmeal groundbait with mixed pellets and hemp in a cage feeder and halibut and robin red 8 to 12 mm pellets as hookbait. Sometimes doubled on a hair or banded.

13.30 start hot sunny fished by the hut. 2 good barbel 7.5 and 5.5 lb. 4lb 6oz chub Jim’s pb. 1 Dace 1eel 2 small chub, left at 19.00. Tomorrow we are off over Teletubby Hill

Very tough days fishing with the weather bright, warm and clear. Rainfall the night before had risen the water level by a good few inches which peaked at midday and then slowly started to drop again. A dry dropper was used for most of the day but a streamer did produce a couple knocks. In the end just as the light was fading in the upper section of the beat I tempted a nice little brownie on a hairs ear nymph

Solid with Chub as usual. Waggler fished shallow with small cubes of meet. A beautiful stretch but it was concerning how many of the chub now have damaged mouths, no doubt from the pressure this stretch receives. Also many of the chub had lice on them which is something I've not noticed on previous visits. 2 anglers fished.
