First session out on the wild streams this year. Fished upstream of the bridge. River at a good height and visibility quite good.
No fish seen rising, but persisted with the dry until the top of the beat, where I ran a nymph through a likely pool and connected with a lovely 10 inch brownie. Fantastic fight on the 6ft 2#.
Walking back to the car, stopped to talk to a local walking his dog, who said he had spoken to an angler the week before. No reports though.
