Approx. ¾ mile of double bank fishing on the Twrch, the main tributary of the river Tawe.
The brown trout fishing on the Tawe and its tributaries is considered to be a well kept secret! A good head of fish, supplemented by periodical stocking. The river boasts an extremely healthy fly life with hatches of upwings which are at times prolific.
The river follows the same pattern as most good trout rivers with the best of the fishing to be had in the afternoon in March, April and May with March Brown and Large Dark Olive hatches. During the Summer the best of the fishing is in the evening with the Blue Winged Olive being the main hatch.
The beat offers challenging but highly rewarding fishing for the more accomplished angler. Anglers should be aware that this is Club water and exclusivity cannot be guaranteed.
