Steady day, hard to get the fish out onto areas they would normally be on this beat. Managed to tempt some eventually. Fantastic venue to be fishing as always.
After a week on the Wye we'd like to say thankyou to the landowners, fishery owners and the Wye and Usk Foundation for making it possible for us to fish this glorious river.

Great stretch of the Wye, several relatively easily accessible swims.
Day extremely hot and humid, very slow fishing. Did manage two Chub 2.5 & 4lb in the morning, close to hanging willows both took pellet.
Lost one huge Barbel in streamer weed, after a very determined fight, ????

Same conditions as yesterday. 4 beautiful barbel 3 of which were 11lb+ 8 chub the biggest being 4lb and an eel. Great trip seemed with some of the nicest barbel so far. Fished on pellet and luncheon meat over feeder pellets and hemp.

Great day, conditions were good and river was at 0.55m (Hereford Bridge), with slight colour but clearing. Had a beautiful 12lb barbel last cast and three nice perch on a mepps plus the obligatory chub. Still plenty of snags about mainly mid river...so fish with care.

8 Barbel, 3 of which went over 8lb. 8lb 5oz, 8lb 8oz and 8lb 12oz. 9 Chub, several to 4.5lb, best went 5lb on the nose.
Highlight of the day was a sparrowhawk hunting at flat out speed just feet above our heads along the top of the riverbank, flying between our extended rods. The wind rush was incredible.
