River fairly high and fast flowing. No fish seen. No knocks or tugs. Bit disappointing really. Weather was sunny and pleasantly warm.

Only one angler fished. The river was high but falling.

1 Barbel, 5 Chub

River was quite swollen. No rises or any fish activity observed..

2x barbel , on pellet best weight 9.12, fishing a midwater crease .

River dropped 2/3 foot overnight…ice on my boots walking to the beat …. but when the sun got up … had 2 nice Barbel of around 5lb within 20 mins of each other.

Water was on the high side and very coloured and pushing through. For me this was hard work today with little reward despite working through many techniques, flies and salutations to the piscatorial deities. Just not my day, ho hum.

1 Grayling

River falling with lots of sun for a change but this made bites hard to come by . All fish came later in the afternoon to meat baits .
