Lovely day, good weather, river running about 6" high, but lovely and green. Fish were very localised, but when found, came in numbers. 10 Grayling and about 30 trout between me and my mate Andy. Bigget Grayling approx 10oz, same with the troot.

Fished approx 10am till 2pm. After a few months of rain, the river had mostly run off. Still highish at 0.55m on the Ddol Farm Gauge, but was very clear and wade-able in places. Water cold.
Fished the top section of the beat, using a variety of nymphs on mono-leader set up. Caught one good brown trout, about 1.5 lbs, but did not find any grayling.

The river was fairly low for the time of year and also pretty clear. Add to that the baltic recent temperatures and we knew it would be a tough day. All angles managed to catch something so I guess that's a bonus and 5 of the 6 Chub were around the 3:8 to 4lb mark. Pike to 7:8 ish on dead baits.

An enjoyable day but hard as nails!

One small Jack caught, for some reason the pike have been really off this season. Not sure why. Still a beautiful setting to go fishing

Fished in the morning, up until mid day. No rising fish with all fish hooked hard on the bottom. A very enjoyable few hours weaving casts in and out of the overhanging trees. Just like wild stream fishing should be.

2 Trout, 3 Grayling
