Nice overcast day with rain the river was a good height and flow, fish caught on a mixture of french leader and dry fly on olives fish rising all over the beat we lost a good 15 fish many more missed few sedges starting to come off later on

Beautiful stretch of river. Easy access and local camp manager 'Oakes' a gentleman! Fished from 10 - 15:00. Weather hot, little breeze and sunny. Water low. First cast with Iron blue 16 to sipping trout and took two nice trout - 8"/12". Then went quite. Tried washing line of nymphs with variations - to no avail - even saw fish follow, pluck and refuse. Early afternoon saw hatch of BWO/Pale wateries. Remaining fish came to BWO/Olive quill, and Adams K. Also, failed to net a handful of trout for diffeeent reasons - one being that my hook knot failed - complacency!

River quite low today and water fairly cold. Not many fish rising. Both fish caught on A PTN . Great looking new fishing hut! Looking forward to returning for another outing on this most accessible beat in stunning surroundings.
