This beat could do with s work,we could only find a couple of spots to safely fish.
It was a wet day which made things even more taxing.Having said that we had a good day with the river just right. All fish taken on feeder and boilies.

River in perfect condition, slightly coloured with plenty of water. Busy day's sport with barbel up to 9.3 lbs and chub to 5.5 lbs, Several more fish lost in the tree routes . Three eels also caught. Most fish were caught on ledgered meat. Even though they are now a protected species eels are still a slimy nuisance. The combination of water level and overnight rain made the swims few and very difficult to fish, but very nice productive beat. The canoes did not effect the fishing and it was noticeable that once they became aware of us the majority of them turned towards the far bank.

The river was low, after the recent flooding.
lost a chub first thing in the. morning, quiet rest of the morning. Went to nearby pub 'Inn on the wye' for an early dinner, then returned for an evening session, where I caught 2 chub and a barbel around 9lb. feeder /pellet / boilie tactics used.

River was up and fast flowing. We had to dig pegs out with a shovel to make it safe to fish. Difficult conditions but we still caught several barbel to 9lbs and a few chub. Great surroundings, we will be back!

I fished it for six hours, trying three different pegs but to no avail. I seen fish but couldn’t get a bite, I was surprised but that’s fishing I suppose, nice beat I’d fish it again.
