No sign of trout, but two nice grayling. One came to a ptn, the second - close on 2 lb - to a dry fly. Fish rising to black gnats exclusively.

A beautiful stretch of water with many interesting runs and pools. Unfortunately the strong cold downstream wind made fishing difficult and the fish uncooperative with only one rising fish found all day, despite walking the majority of the beat. Nothing caught this time but I will return when conditions are more favourable.

A few Olives were coming off the water form mid day onwards.
Not a lot else had two grayling 12" one 14" and one big brownie, all on the dry. Not easy fishing but well worth the effort.

Not surprisingly, given the weather, we caught nothing. But it was nice to be out and about.

Not a good day at all, we tried all methods in all the usual places. Not a lot more to report really, other than to state the obvious. Not one sighting or take of any description for either of us all day. It's very unusual to come away without even a touch between the pair of us on this beat as we have had reasonable success in the past.
