Water in perfect condition. Beautiful and secluded landscape. Beautiful day with no rain. Very limited number of grayling caught/seen. Very little activity with nymphs and most captures on dry olive ephemeras 18 hook.

The river was low but following overnight wind and rain the river was full of leaves which made it very difficult to present either a nymph or a dry fly. There was only a very occasional rise, but if the fish was covered it was usually possible to get a take, but sadly we either missed the takes or lost the fish, so ended up with a blank. Still a pleasant day, although this beat is not as varied as others on the Irfon.

A beautiful day to be on the river, and 6 brownies to hand all between 10 and 12". The water level was low and clear but fish were showing now and again for most of the day. Took the first fish on an Olive Klink in the faster water but the rest were with a Waterhen Bloa fished high in the surface film to trout sipping in the small surface flies trickling down the beat.

Nice water but weather appalling. Raining all day.
Access a little tricky in places but overall very bearable.
Temperature of water higher than that of the air so hatch limited and wet fly and nymph prevailed.

Interesting water, apart from a little bit of action between 11 and 12,30 it was quite quiet. Lots of good spots though in a very beautiful part of the world. We will be back. 3 fish caught on tiny klinkhammers and 2 to small nymph.

Took a risk on the river level, which was high and coming through fast, not overly coloured but difficult fishing all the same. Tried hard to find the shoaled up grayling with limited success. Only took 2 fish around the 8-10 mark on deep fished nymphs.

Very cold, tried a few likely spots but the grayling seem to be shoaled up somewhere else. Nothing caught.

Grayling caught on pink shrimp and trout on czech nymph. Both approximately 1lb. Czech nymph method used. River a good height and crystal clear!
