Wonderful day, beautiful beat and really brilliant beat notes to help us navigate it. A salmon (we think) had a take but got away, and one (I think) chub caught (image attached so I can be corrected!) Thank you for a very special day. We really enjoyed

River was in great shape, about a metre ish at Ross and falling with settled weather. Expectations were high but fishing was tough. Tried pellet, luncheon meat and sweetcorn. Lone barbel was about 4 pound and both chub were bigger

The river was high and coloured after recent rain. We fished a halibut-based paste with swim feeders hoping to catch barbel but only managed to catch chub, from 1 1/2 lbs to 4lbs. Nonetheless, we had a good day. We did see 2 salmon jumping near the right bank during the day. We will be back!
