Bright sunny day and low and clear river. Fished the pools in the first meadow. 2 barbel around the 6 pound mark the rest much smaller. Chub all around the half to 1 pound mark. Others were eels. All fish caught on meat.

Low and clear river, warm and overcast sky. Another great day's fishing with nineteen Barbel to 8Ib 6ozs and Chub to 4Ib. Martin caught a PB Barbel and Trevor fell in which was a bonus. Though have to say this did not dampen his catching ability as thirteen of the Barbel were taken on his rod.

Great day, 7 pristine fish caught between 4lbs and 8.5lbs in the morning and evening, sunny day so the afternoon was dead. All caught at the most comfy peg by the gate at downstream end of the woods.

Despite losing my rig box, sliding into the river like a RNLI lifeboat from 20 feet up the bank and somehow dropping my sandwiches into the drink, I had a wonderful and very productive day. Loads of action, pretty much all afternoon into dusk. Poor angling (I'm easily distracted) meant I should have caught double the amount. Must try harder tomorrow.
