A very bright day. River in lovely condition. Wet fly downstream.

Wet fly downstream. Lovely conditions but rather bright. Three good fish of around 1lb.

Another day where i am unable to fish river because of dirty water run off from storm.

One very colored 6lb cock fish ,put back, water low but a few fish moving, the problem with this beat is swimmers at the big house and at camp site,best left till after first week in Sept , lots of good Trout moving

River low but fishable. Several takes of nymph but only one fish caught c8 inches

Fished from late morning until early evening and managed to catch only two trout the largest of which was about 10 inches, all returned . Both caught on an Adams parachute. Saw several fish jump several inches out of the water, perhaps thinking they were sea trout!

Hot, bright and river very low. Fish very spooky due to the river level however I managed two 8" trout on a nymph at the beginning of the session and then a 14" on a dry in the evening. Clearly some decent fish in the stretch and I look forward to returning in more favorable conditions.

Dry fly and nymph upstream. The river is very low and clear, few fish showing and easily spooked. Not my day, nothing caught.

After Dinas and Abercynrig the night before, my brother and I turned our attention to Penpont further upstream. Another warm evening and difficult conditions. I fished above the bridge and brought two nice trout to hand from the top gutters whilst my brother fished downstream and had no luck whatsoever. This river needs rain.
