Caught one Salmon @ 10lb fishing a small barbless tungsten nymph in a deep hole, fish of a lifetime and made the day!! Lovely water full of spooky trout!

Didn’t fish.
At 2ft 3 it was too high to safely fish. The water was reasonably clear but the nature of the beat with its deep gutters and slippery slabs of sandstone combined with the fact that you have to get into the river because of the heavily tree lined bank made an unwanted swim almost inevitable.
Not worth the risk !

New beat to me , hard work , tons of walking climbing fighting bushes , Gin clear low and bright so hard work, 5 trout in the daytime on french nothing then a few on dry fly at dusk , non worthy of the landing net Charming beat with plenty of options and places to try , never covered it all
