Conditions near perfect, no sign of any fish about. Having hooked and played a salmon last season on a trout rod with a 4lb tippet !! I shall return until i succeed with the correct tackle.

The river was at a good height and reasonably clear - good fishing conditions.
A c 8lb salmon was caught off the lower ladder close to the end of the beat, and earlier a small grayling.

Water a bit too high today (level with the top of the boards) meaning I couldn't fish some of my favourite spots for grayling. Water colour was good and it did drop about 6" during the day.Fished nymphs under an indicator due to the very strong winds and managed to catch a grayling and a trout , both about 9"
