Area:Middle Wye

Beat:Lower Redbank 1

Fishing:Coarse

No. of Anglers:2

Hot and sunny with low flow at the top of the beat and a lack of decent swims at the bottom made for a tough day. Not a great beat. Will not be back.

Good days fishing but as stated before the banks are dangerous and need attention.

Plenty of Chub but the Barbel failed to show. Nice beat but a bit of a trek from the car parking and some very "challenging" swims, take some climbing rope!!!

Lovely beat. Easy access, parking and directions. Lots of leaves made fishing static baits tricky at times. Cattle present but well behaved.

All fish taken on feeder/ boilie. This is a really nice stretch of water but following the damage done by the high water levels in the last couple of weeks the banks are very treacherous-be careful!Could really do with some steps/railings,but in saying that we will fish it again.

Beat:Lower Redbank 1

Wye was heavily coloured and flowing fast. Rained on and off throughout the day. Two anglers fished. We cast close in as fishing the middle and far side was unfishable - 4oz leads/feeders were pulled downstream. 3 chub to 4 lb max size were caught. Off road parking available with a walk to the river.
