Nice day, very slow in places. Fish seemed a bit spooky. Had 5 barbel to about 7lb and 3 chub. All taken on feeder/pellet. A lot of canoe traffic. Fish caught steadily through the day.

Fished lunchtime until dark. Tried rolling meat from the parking area down to the lower limit of the fishery (Or as far as we could get at least!)
Had a few chub on rolled meat then went back to the deeper water at the top of the stretch. Started on the groundbait feeder but this kept snagging up and snapping off so went to a heavy bomb and pellet. Caught steadily from 8pm until dark. Was chaotic at times, sometimes not even being able to put the rod in the rest before it was ripped out of our hands.
A brilliant beat with some lovely fish. Thanks.

Our last day and last beat so decided to do about 12:30-7pm as we had to travel back. Really nice wild looking beat, but due to time constraints we decided to fish the accessible swims upstream in the deeper water.
I decided to put about 10 feeders of bait in to see if anything was about. Unfortunately being too eager, I caught a barbel within 5 mins of my first cast. It was all quiet after that probably due to me catching straight away instead of resting the swim. My brother lost what felt like a good fish and had a couple of chub.
I wish we could of fished the evening as I have no doubt we would of caught again. A great day on a lovely beat though and we were kept entertained by some huge fish leaping clear of the water upstream from us. Can only presume these were salmon. On another note care should be taken in the wet as it can be very slippery, next time we would definitely take a ground spike and a rope. Many thanks.

All fish were taken from the deeper water at the top end of the beat, apart from 2 chub which fell to freelined baits in the shallows. Most fish caught in the evening including 1 eel on pellets or meat. River was low & clear, not as many canoes as expected. A very plesent day in the sunshine, thanks wuf.

I caught One 8lb 3oz Barbel and one 9lb 9oz Pike. Loads of weed and water was coloured in comparison to previous visit. Canoes not really an issue. Two eels to approx 3lb were also caught. Weather was warm with a few heavy showers.

Conditions were not good at all. River was low, clear and the sun was beaming down all day. Managed one chub around lunch time on meat. We really worked the stretch trying all tactics and different swims but could not bag a barbel until 6:30pm, the sun started to go behind the trees and bites started to come thick and fast. Although fish were biting we could not get a decent take so changed to a longer hooklink then boom 4 barbel in an hour and half all on crab boilie. My mate also had 2 eels and lost a barbel. Good end to a tough day.

Slight drop in the level during the day with a lot less floating weed than the previous day. We caught fish throughout the day even during the afternoon when the sun was on the water. Best barbel was 8.04 and the largest chub was 4-4 although most of the chub were in the 1.5-2.5lb range. As usual all the fish were caught on pellet.
