Fished hard all day with fly and spinner .Didn't see a fish or touch one, nearly caught a dog though ,who's owner let it jump into the river right in front of me

My first trip this season and the weather wasn't very kind. One small trout caught and safely returned after only a couple of hours fishing.

lovely to be back on the river at the Rectory beat, river at a perfect height but no fish touched or seen ,but a beautiful day anyway. Many thanks to the owner for the improvements, being able to park at the top of the Rocks makes such a difference, unfortunately did not get down the bottom to see the hut but picture looks great. ( plus the gate no more climbing over the fence )

Nothing seen river dropping nicely with good visibility

Why cant we have this water in May! Still v big 2ft 7", but Bridge, Ty-Mawr and Gravel catch were working. Saw one big fish travel through Ty-Mawr, and the trout were savaging any fly that was worked fast in shallowish water

Three small grayling. One approx 7 pound (probable) kelt salmon. Caught on 3wt nymphing setup, fly size 18 beadhead PTN.
