WOW!!! ok I went up to fish all the pools at least once. Started at the top gutter ,spun it through nothing spring pool twice nothing, down into Hellrig nothing now i was getting disappointed started the house pool got to the boards carried on down then bang a fish on, it rose nice clean fresh fish, 20 minutes later I just managed to get its head in the net. A pure bar of solid silver fresh fish ,measuring 41 1/2 inches an absolute stunning fish to start the season

A rare early season trip for me where I found the river running a good foot and a half higher than my usual summer level lows. I used a team of march brown wets to good effect hooking 4 fair sized grayling. The best, a good fighter, weighed in at around 1 1/2 lb. Saw a few trout rising, but all too wily to take anything I offered. Packed in at around 1630 when the river temperature finally got the better of my hands.

Just about fishable with a spinner first thing, but cleared enough to fish a big tube later. A few accidental trout. No sign of Salmon.

Fished only a couple of pools, river still carrying a bit of extra water. There didn't seem to be a lot of bird life either which is not like the beat. Sometimes you meet people enjoying teaching their sport and being very courteous at the same time, 4 canoeists came through me but kept well out of my way, even had a wave. Back to the fishing, didn't see a trout rise nor any salmon, didn't catch any either. One thing to note somebody has left a pair of wading boots in the hut, must of been recent as they were still wet through

A very sleepy river for most of the day. An unproductive morning below the bridge apart from two good size grayling from Dolmeudwy. Surprisingly, fish came onto the take very late in the afternoon with many offers to a tungsten bead GRHE in the Ferry. Couldn’t keep many of them on for very long though.
A nice day on the river with the stiff downstream breeze providing good casting practice conditions with the double hander.

3 of us fishing, the oops trout was a beauty, about 2.5lb . Released straight from landing net and swam away stongly. Grayling all about 12oz. Saw an otter which was the highlight of the day.
