Two fish taken on nymphs fished clink and dink style
Few March Browns coming off but no real surface activity and no response to a range of dry patterns
Point to note there are road works on the A40 dual carriageway which gives access to the farm track to access the fishery. The near side lane is coned off so you have to drive through the cones to get to the track entrance which is not ideal and no allowance had been made by the roadworks contractor to allow proper access.

River was very low and clear. A cold northern wind made fishing conditions difficult. Very little fly life seen during the day and only sporadic fish rising. Persisted with dry flies for most of the day and caught fish on black humpy, black klinkhammer and Jingler. Nothing on nymphs. Beautiful stretch of river, just a shame it was so low and a cold wind.

The house martins are back! Forecast was for overcast skies, warm, no wind. Actually, bright sun with a moderate cold east wind. No sign of fly life or rising fish. Teased out one BT with a PTN on the riffles. A sporadic hatch of olives around 15:30 brought some fish to the surface. Took a couple but missed several more. Hatch over by 16:00. River would benefit from some rain.
