River very high. Just one smash take while fishing wet flies to report. Incidentally, both access gates need rehanging, particularly the second one with the padlock. The hinge post has gone rotten, with the result that when you open the gate, it's liable to fall flat in the roadway.

Fantastic beat, lots of variety of water. 4 trout to 12inches, lovely fat fish. Caught 2 french nymphing with case caddis imitation. Other 2 on dry Elk hair caddis. Thanks W&U for everything.

All taken on parachute Adams. Largest 2 just over a pound. River low and clear. Forecast was for rain, which did not occur until the end of the day.
No strong hatch but a variety of different insects evident.

Gusting downstream wind and bright submachine made it hard going. A few rises but nothing seemed to to entice them. Only one brownie to the net. Lovely water and plenty of fishing. Very easy access.
