Fished at all depths on the fly. Son wormed and spun. Very poor day. No takes and no fish seen other than small perch.

Fished the NW bank from 10.30 until 2.30 with no success or interest until a heavy shower drove me off. Only one or two rises seen while the sun was out for a brief moment and breeze fell away totally. Disturbed several time by unruly large dogs running and barking all around me, one of which (huge Burmese mountain dog) decided to take a swim right in front of me. Fishing near the dam was apparently more successful. Weather was overcast with little wind for most of the time.

4 trout caught on dry flies . good hatch of sedges and fish rising freely .good hard fighting rainbows

Started fishing early on the west side of the reservoir (Fly only) and caught 2 perch but NO trout. Moved back to the dam area just beyond the boat launching area around midday.
Fishing difficult and wind was extremely strong with very heavy rain at times. However, managed to hook 5 trout (landed 4) in between 1 pm and 3 pm. Intermediate line used with a New Zealand fly - Hammil Killer.
Fish caught fairly close into the bank and didn't need to wade, but had to beware of snagging flies on rocks when retrieving.
Fly Fishing this reservoir requires a lot of patience and endurance, however it can be very rewarding if one perseveres.

Had a few bites and one on the line but came off so 0 today, great day though and will be back again.

Caught 3 rainbow trout, all on worm on a rainy but enjoyable day.
