8 Trout

1 small fish on spinner. Difficult fishing over last month. Lots of rubbish on the bank with people leaving everything from beer cans to numerous tins of sweetcorn and luncheon meat.

Fished from 8am and caught one 2.5lb rainbow trout on the bottom at 4:30pm. Didn't see any fish rising. Disappointing day really, I think the ticket price needs adjusting!

Caught fish on spinner(1) and rest on worm. Surprised how much water has been taken from reservoir. Always find rangers pleasant and informative. Excellent way to spend a day. Looking forward to next trip.

Used float fished worm from 8am to 7.30pm. No fish caught. Very quiet day.

Weather was overcast all day with occasional showers. Water level was low after recent dry period.
Very little happening in the morning with the only bites from the midges. Improved after lunch with the 5 trout taken on ledgered worm.

Unfortunately no trout caught during this visit, don't think they liked my worms. I spoke with quite a few anglers fishing along the same bank and they had also failed to catch. Left venue at 15.00 too hot.
Ranger checked ticket on arrival at the water was very friendly.
Will be booking another visit week commencing 18th August depending on reservoir water level and weather conditions.
