Had meeting over afternoon tea at Gliffaes which gave me excuse to visit Talybont for first time. Lovely spot but too cold at two degrees for me to try........

One young brown trout - returned unharmed - caught on Heather fly.

Such a beautiful setting, but no fish today. It rained just as dusk was approaching and after that there was no fly life at all.

No catch due to cold, misty and rainy weather maybe.
Service of the Foundation perfect for sending the Wye/Usk passport so promptly. The reservoir very nice but difficult to fish however I enjoyed my two days fishing on 7th and 8th of October.

We had a great day in the sun. Pretty surroundings great water but we failed to catch any fish,but we do that quite often. Saves catch and release if none come to hand. Thanks to the Wye and Usk girls who always make us so welcome.

One brown trout caught (approx 3/4lbs) and a couple missed an a very windy afternoon. Not easy fishing but a great setting.

Fished evening - nil return but beautiful surroundings.

2 Brown trout caught (estimated 1.5 to 2 lb). One on a teal blue and silver and the other on a black pennel. Water level high which significantly reduced the amount of fishable water but still plenty on the South Western side. Managed to fall in while wading near the river at the southern end (beware the sudden drop-off!) but warm enough to carry on soggy. Lovely location, will be back.

Nil return. Beautiful place to fish, but no luck.

11 small brown trout ~6 inches returned to resevoir to grow bigger. Taken on cast of Cruncher, PTN & Zulu.
