Weather included: Sunshine, wind, cloudy, showers and heavy rain. We saw six good sized trout rises. We fished from bank side and in the water, tried several classic trout flies, wet and dry fishing upstream and down as appropriate but were unsuccessful.
We found it very difficult to get to the water above the ford due to very thick growth and Himalayan balsam clogging up the too few stiles and banks. Difficult too because once in the water, progress upstream was nigh impossible due to fallen trees which had not been cleared at all since last winter's high waters. Downstream from the weir, very good access achieved. Nevertheless, a very good day and would return to Eyton Beat.

Dry fly. Was there from 11 to 3pm and only saw one rise. Didn't catch any fish or get a take for that matter.
Lovely stretch of river although almost impossible to access banks in wooded areas which is a pity as these might have been promising.
Great booking service, thank you.

A rare morning of fishing for a father of two young children! No fish caught but a delightful 6 hours nevertheless. Water very low, weather overcast. Quite a few fish seen and feeding but all incredibly wary. Spotted one stunning brownie at around 2lb and managed to get my fly in front of it but not interested and then took off. Decent fish were all tight into banks.
Two takes, both small fish, both missed, one on Olive Klinkhammer, one on olive EHC.
Lovely spot, recommended, especially with a bit more water.

Water very low and clear, all fish taken were only 5/7 inches max. Perhaps the reason no larger fish were caught was the arrival of 2 people at around 18.45pm fishing the far bank with what looked like spinning or worming tackle. They made off when we approached, obviously local as they new where to go!
Also had to politely request the family who arrived to go swimming not to as we were trying to fish!
Otherwise a nice day and thanks to W & U for usual efficient booking etc.

Hot, bright conditions and water low and clear. Saw plenty of fish and numerous rises but couldn't tempt one. The river in the two woodland sections is completely inaccessible from the overgrown banks but plenty of other stretches to cast from.
Overall a lovely stretch of river in a peaceful location.

A fair amount of fishing over grown and inaccessible. Need to access weir from right bank. Beautiful spot.

All fish caught were around five inches in length using klink and dink and were in superb condition. This river has changed considerably over the last twelve months, the flood water has really left its mark. Himalayan Balsam is also starting to take a hold on this stretch of water which is very concerning.
Thanks to the Wye and Usk for their help in booking the water.

Great day following some heavy showers. Water clear with a little colour. Slow to start with fish taking nymphs or black spiders. Fly hatch mid afternoon with a nice early evening rise with fish taking mayfly, Hawthorne, blue dune etc. No fish of any size but enjoyable all the same. Only criticism would be the over grown woodland sections. With over hanging branches and brash making access impossible to large sections of the beat, even by wading on at least one third of the beat, which was disappointing.

Enjoyed my day, some really nice streamy water. Some of the meanders however were rather dull. Lots hatching including mayfly. Caught loads of tiddlers using a variety of small pattern dry's, nothing else though - where were the bigger ones?
