Water was quite low and not many fish seen. No success with wet flies but noted a couple of rises which proved successful - two nice brownies about 12 oz each, taken on a black ant with white wing.
Wind became too much of a problem on my light tackle after midday and decided to call it a day. Lovely stretch of water - crystal clear and easy wading.

Very windy all day. Little fly and few rises. LN Tenkara-ed and DC fished conventionally. Had just a dozen fish between us, mainly grayling to about ten inches. Fish mainly taken on PTNs. Surprisingly disappointing fishing in the dubs in the woods where some more clearance in the upper part of the wooded section would help on a number of fronts. Access there far better than it was a year ago though!

A windy day making fishing quite difficult at times. There were a few Olives, Spinners and Sedges, with the odd fish rising intermittently through the day. Half a dozen notable grayling to 45cm, plus a number of very small this years’ 'fry'. 5 trout to about 3/4lb. Best flies, small PTN (18), GRHE, and size 14 jig type grayling gold heads. Access really difficult in the wooded areas of the beat in need of some TLC. Found a good pair of sunglasses, contact the Foundation for my contact details.

Weather cloudy to sunny intervals. Caught 13 grayling up to three quarters of a pound and three small WBT. Unfortunately, the day was somewhat spoilt by a mother, her two daughters and loose dog who thought they had the right to use the Lugg as a swimming pool (thanks TV country shows). Roll on colder weather when the grayling will be forthcoming and wild swimmers forced indoors.

Didn't see a fish rise all day. Had a few tugs on nymph but nothing hooked. Haven't been able to choose a day when fish are rising at all this season.

Sunny and warm, river slightly coloured but not high. Yes the beat is 1.5 miles long but note the description of this beat states that 'access in and out of the river is tricky in the wooded areas'. An understatement! We found that accessing the entire beat was impossible and couldnt find a way through the 'jungle' in either the upper or lower woods and couldn't get to the lower weir which was disappointing. However, there were still plenty of nice runs and open areas to fish. There wasn't a great deal showing but we managed 2 small grayling in the day and 3 browns to around 1lb at the death on small tups and tung head nymphs.
