We booked the stretch the same morning having been refused access at Aramstone Fishery due to the rest of the River Wye being closed . We also booked Whitehouse fishery for the following day. We had previously fished Sugwas Court back in 2017 where we struggled to find good access to most pegs, apart from only a couple of places due to the bankside vegatation being completely overgrown . Unfortunately time has changed nothing and we experienced exactly the same scenario, dangerously steep overgrown banks , most completely hidden and inaccessible . The river was so low you could see the bottom all the way across , with more gravel than water, stagnant pools were covered with green algae on the Orchard stretch. There was no evidence on the bank of any other Anglers having recently fished the venue, and the entire beat looked un-touched. The track from the style leading to the upstream limit through the wood was again impossible to gain access to a clear fishing spot, overgrown and in one area the access track was dangerously steep then completely obstructed with a fallen tree. (See photos attached). Having spent a good 40 minutes walking the entire stretch we were at a loss as to what to do, so in desperation we again called the office and spoke with Shannon who was prepared to look at other options for what was left of our day , but stated she was unable to refund us our money paid to fish Sugwas Court and that we would need to pay again and send photos to support our findings in order to secure a refund once the office was open this week. We had already paid over £100 so decided to abandon fishing the Wye and drove 1 hour to Bewdley to the River Severn where we finally got two good pegs and was fishing for 14:00. This was quite costly in fuel with a 2 hour round trip back to Hereford where were staying. For the cost to fish here I personally would not waste my time travelling to this venue again , you will definately be disappointed.

Terrible day at sugwas court. The swims are a joke now it seems no one cares about the state of the swims there are literally 3 or 4 swims on the whole fishery if your lucky enough to find your way into them. can honestly say this was my last time at sugwas court. they need to take a look a middle hill court because this beat is how a fishery should be kept

An early Barbel from the top beach, about 6lb, on ledger, then a few small chub on float. Home for lunch then tried the lower section into evening, one 4lb barbel at last light and a few small chub on the feeder. Not an easy beat, very overgrown, the owners should clear at least a few swims. Bring a rope and watch out for the Giant Hog Weed, it’s everywhere. Overgrown and hard fishing.

We block booked this beat for three anglers and despite the low water levels, 75% of our catch was caught by one angler.
