3 Chub

Short morning session on top part of the beat. All fish before 9am on pellet. Lots of showers that turned into heavy rain and then bright sunlight. What a lot of swans!

1 Barbel, 5 Chub

Both anglers fished top section of beat angler 1 had 1 barbel and lost a another also had 9 chub all caught on lead and pellet angler 2 only had 1 chub on stick float.

1 Barbel, 10 Chub

River very low. Fished the top half of best in the morning with one chub and a barbel first thing.
Moved down to a lower beach above the orchard car park to escape swans and geese. Had two good chub and a double figure barbel from under the trees on the opposite bank. Barbel fought really hard and swam off strongly after landing.
Fished lower down in the evening for a couple of hours to know avail. All fish on halibut pellets.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub

Fished top end "bait pool" had fish from the start at 6.30. Slow in the afternoon but picked up again as sun went down. River very low so picked only area with depth and some flow. Biggest barbel about 8' and chub about 4'

river the lowest I have ever fished it 1 angler fished top section and 1 angler fished bottom stretch, most fish came from the top section all fish caught on pellet

Tough day in the sun, managed a barbel on meat and chub on pellet on the down stream stretch.

Thank you WUF for a wonderful days fishing. Tried fishing the upper section in waders and trotting sweet corn, but besides catching a couple of resident chub, no barbel could be seen. Went down stream and saw a large shoal flashing in fast shallow water. To only get to them by wading. We caught 1 barbel of approx 7lb and then lots of 4-5 chub which was nice but not our target quarry. It was a beautiful day and we had some adventures. Thank you.

1 Barbel, 16 Chub

The river was low and clear and, despite being overcast it was a hot and humid. Fished the downstream (field) stretch morning and afternoon (4 chub; 3 Barbel). We then fished the orchard stretch first thing in the evening (1 chub), before returning to the lower stretch for the last hour of fishing (2 barbel). Largest fish: chub 4.5 lb; barbel 9lb.
