X1 barbel and x3 chub caught here. Disappointed about access to river bank - above orchard only one possible swim. Woods dangerous to access and no fishing available here!

1st time at this venue, really enjoyable day. Started, in the morning, in the 1st swim by the car park. Had 3 barbel best of 9lb 4oz. Once that area went quiet moved below the wood and tried a couple of swims in the middle area. Finally caught the 4th barbel in the last hour.
Great venue, on the list for another visit.

4 Barbel

Good days fishing on a superb beat. All Barbel caught on ledgered Halibut Pellets while the Chub (mostly small) were caught on float fished maggots. Small amount of weed coming down river during the day but not enough to seriously effect the fishing.

8 Barbel, 12 Chub

Another fine day greeted us and fearing the worse after three days of rain we were surprised to find the river in fine form, little bit of colour but perfect for fishing. We fished the bottom section and two of my friends were rewarded with 3 and 5 barbel all caught on pellet. The fish came throughout the day. I fished the top section and preserved with the pellet but couldn't buy a bite so float fished for a couple of hours and was rewarded with two perch of over 2lb and lost a bigger one which I managed to get to the surface but lost as he made a final dive for freedom ! I estimated him to be between 3 and 4lb.
It's a super stretch of water with many accessible swims lots of kingfishers flying low across the water buzzards with their cry gliding overhead such a wonderful place to be.

A lovely stretch of the river, loads of overhanding trees and nice looking swims. A bit quiet on the day we fished and the river was low and running clear, and between the 4 anglers we had 4 barbel and 3 chub, all on maggot feeder.

River low and clear. Caught all fish from lower section using maggot. Excellent days fishing!

10 Barbel, 4 Chub

This was our first time on this beat, upper section very inaccessible and limited swims on lower end. However MF did find fish on lower section, had 3 good barbel on maggot feeder.
TR struggled in the next swim, tried both maggot and pellet feeder and several baits trotting all to no avail. However a very pleasant day in wonderful surroundings.

Fished lower end of the fishery, 5 Barbel, best fish 10lb 8oz, 2 Chub 4lb.

Fishing very poor with one of the 3 anglers getting no bites at all in 2 days! Water colour was good but level a little low with very little weed coming down the river. All anglers were bottom fishing with various different baits tried. Plain ledgers and swim feeders were tried, with ground bait and loose feed used.
