River level had dropped considerably on Saturday and looked better on the Sunday but was rising fast throughout the day and blanked for the first time. A couple of the swims that used to be fishable were no longer and did upset another angler on the day. A little more work on the swims accessibility and safety wouldn't go amiss.

Unfortunately I was not able to fish on the booked day. The confirmation email with details was filtered into a random email folder which I didn't find until the following day and so assumed that the space wasn't available - Thanks Google!

Water very coloured and level really high and needed 5oz feeders to hold bottom. I love the wild fishing side of the beat but the paths are very overgrown and between swims and path is dangerous if your loaded up. Still a good day with only 2 barbel at 5 and 8lb 2oz.

Very tough day. River looked good in the morning then the level came up very quickly. Around 800mm of cold rain water came in so called it a day.
Nothing caught

Hard going. River was rising. Had bites early and late. One really nice barbel about 7lb, a quality chub of about 4.5, another chub and an eel. Although it’s a long stretch in reality there are only about 6 pegs that you can actually fish.
1 Barbel, 2 Chub, 1 Other
