We used one rod to target barbel with a feeder and the other trotting stick float with maggots. While we had no luck on feeder there was plenty of action on the float, catching mostly good sized dace and a few chub. Overall good day fishing.

3 anglers fished. River low and clear, not ideal for this stretch which is dominated by slow flowing water. Managed some nice fish though, barbel of 8.12, 9.09 and 2 between 6 - 7lb, one of the chub was 5lb+.
One issue with a far bank angler setting up pretty much opposite one of our swims where we were already fishing - it’s a shame not all anglers are considerate of others.
Would like to fish the stretch again in high water conditions.

Unable to fish - very disappointing.
River was extremely low and all the swims in the meadow were impossible, so far away from the river you would have needed a 50 foot landing net handle or a drop net to reach the water if you caught a fish.
The very steep drop down wet slippery rocks in the wood swims were too dangerous for us even with a dog spike and rope.
Fine when the river is up but in those conditions total waste of time and money !

Had to fish in the woods as workman were working in the meadow section. We had 5 dace and 2 eels. Lots of canoes but they moved over to the other side once near us.

Beautiful part of the river, no fish today, worth the effort though..
