A challenging days fishing with a high and very coloured river.
We managed two barbel and two chub ... largest barbel was just over 9Ib.
Thankfully the rain held off and it was a lovely day sitting by the river.
Many thanks WUF and the landowner.

Blank. Probably due to cold, heavy overnight rain bringing the River up over 2 metres as well as a significant change in air pressure

River rose quickly all day which made it quite hard to hold in certain swims but we still managed a good day resulting in barbel to 8lb.15oz and chub over 5lb

Total wash-off on this beat.
Although it was impossible to enter the water after such flooding, the info said the lower pools could be fished with spinners from the bank (oak pool and barn pool). There was absolutely no access to the water from this bank due to unmaintained trees and brambles, which is disappointing considering we travelled to fish this specifically thinking there was a contingency for high water.
I also called the land-owner for help but they did not answer or return a call or message.

River in flood and impossible to fish with all the debris floating down the river. Even worse than yesterday.
