A day that started mild with a light breeze ended with a strong cold northerly. Some trickle hatches of LDOs but a brilliant hatch of March Browns. Rising fish were taking emergers and seemed impossible to tempt. Most fish were taken on spiders.

Lovely stretch of water; but a cold north (downstream) wind and bright sunshine made conditions difficult -- at least for me !
No fish caught, one big swirl to a nymph was the fishy highlight. A pair of disputing dippers the real highlight, chasing each other at great speed.
