River very low but quite a few fishable swims if you are adventurous.
Fished a roving approach rolling meat, had one 7lb 8oz Barbel from the 3rd swim I tried.
Lovely place, just needs a bit of water.

Early start fished the middle section on pellet as rewarded with a Barble of about 4lb, moved to the bottom of the beat trotting a float two small Chub and Dace on sweetcorn meat and hemp.

A fantastic day at Holm Lacy, made our way to the far end of the beat and waded out mid river to trot for the Chub on the centre pin. Great sport all day and to be honest the total could have been more as we lost count of the fish total at about 80 Chub, we also landed a couple of Barbel, all fish rested and returned safely. Cant wait to come back again!

Much better this week no change in conditions no extra water just got back to my usual baiting strategy . All fish in excellent condition again apart from one barbel that had some damage to its tail. Had a Wye pb chub but unfortunately it was foulhooked in the pec! Usual baits & tactics and this time no canoes perfect!

Had a lovely day at this very peaceful fishery with loads of wild life. I managed to catch some very large Chub between 4-5 lb mark at the end 2 pegs using bread and feeder tactics. All fish were unlooked in the net, in a lovely condition and all going back strongly.
