Both fish caught before 9am, then the canoes arrived in their 1000’s. Would love to come to this venue again but next time to hire a canoe as the fishing went completely dead after they arrived. Is there any certain times or beats that isn’t swamped with people?

Fishing Passport Note : There is advice on our website in rgards to canoeists. https://www.fishingpassport.co.uk/canoeing-advice-for-anglers. Some of the advice included is to try to avoid weekends and bank holidays when canoe traffic is at its heaviest, especially during low water in the summer months. If possible, concentrate your fishing on weekdays. Also, concentrate your fishing efforts early and late in the day when canoe traffic is at its lightest. These are also the times when fish are most active in summer.

4 rainbows caught on worm off bottom. ALL had to be returned as very small. About time the description of Llwyn On was changed on Fishing Passport. There are no large trout here nowadays and advertising it as having them is really not on any more.

Started at 1030. Windy day, light rain on and off, reasonably heavy rain for 20mins just before noon, relatively strong wind for most of the day but plenty of protection from the trees.

River has good flow and a little colour from recent rain. Quite a few pulls fishing heavy nymphs and a small steamer down and across but only managed to properly connect with three. Nothing rising in the flats.

Fish were well coloured and fit, smallest 6", largest about 11"
