Hot, bright conditions and water low and clear. Saw plenty of fish and numerous rises but couldn't tempt one. The river in the two woodland sections is completely inaccessible from the overgrown banks but plenty of other stretches to cast from.
Overall a lovely stretch of river in a peaceful location.

Fished for 12 hours. Spinning and worm on float / pop-up bottom. Both sides of the lake. Caught nothing. Only 8 Crayfish. 4 other people spinning caught nothing as well. Don't think they are stocking fish and if they are, not many. Will not be back in a rush.

Another beautiful day on this stretch of river. It had come up about 4 inches because of the storms on Friday and Saturday and still had some colour. Caught 3 barbel biggest 8lb 13oz and lost two as well as a nice chub. The cows returned to the field in the afternoon but were no problem. Fished in the first meadow once again using a swim feeder . It is a truly wonderful spot and saw the buzzards, kingfishers and 5 plovers skimming the water. There was also a mink on the far bank hunting the ducklings by swimming after them but fortunately it had no success as the mother was alert to it. Thank you once again for allowing anglers to access such a beautiful stretch of river. I will be back next time I am in Herefordshire.

This was a short notice booking on a beat I have never fished to give my brother a day out on the Wye. It was hot and sultry with low water levels and I thought we might struggle but he had a good catch of 5 barbel to 7.4lbs, a nice chub and an eel. The Rocks swim lived up to its reputation of being very snaggy and a feeder graveyard so we put our efforts in further downstream where I was grateful for one fine barbel to save face and my blank.

Lovely way to spend the evening. Booked the beat for an evening ticket and didn't start until 6.30pm. Fished the bottom end of the beat using pellet and feeder tactics with a cbs river monster boilie. Bites were slow to come on until late evening but I finished up with 6 chub to 4lbs and 2 barbel to 8lb 2oz. Great way to end a busy day!
