High water, absolutely no sign of any fish for anyone near us

Water high following heavy rain a couple of days earlier, although water running quite clear.

No fish this time, but a delightful beat and I will definitely return later in the season.

High water levels, bank overgrown. Very few opportunities to get a cast in. Bit disappointing.

One fish and one bite all day quiet all around I think

River extremely high with scary wading. Very few fish rose despite a decent hatch around midday. Managed to winkle out a few trout going subsurface.

Water was high but falling, weather wasn't great. The beat is gorgeous and very fishy looking, in better conditions I'd be confident of a good day! All fish caught nymphing using heavy tungsten to get right down. Purple duracell seemed to do the trick. One of the grayling was around 2lb, rest of fish all around 1lb
