Two of us with late start. Fish from lunchtime on, fishies at 7:30. River rising until lunch then steady with some colour. Superb day.

Great visit to Bugeilyn.
1200 - 1830.
Worked anti clockwise at first due to wind and managed to rise 8 and land 6 from a daddy long legs pattern over a couple of hours.
Late in the afternoon the wind started to drop and the surface started to settle.
Swapped to a black beetle pattern that has performed very well here previously and worked clockwise from the boat house which produced the rest.
Spent a few minutes watching a Merlin hunting a small bird which was fantastic. It stooped at least 7 times trying to take its prey and was out manoeuvred each time. After the 7th attempt its prey appeared to dive into the heather and the hobby also vanished against the colours of the hill after a final pass where its target had taken shelter.
Amazing afternoon.
