River was up at around 1 metre with a bit of colour. Weather was fine so looking forward to a good day. Only 6 chub of varying weights all day and not a sign of a Barbel. Tried all baits and methods to no avail. Have been fishing here for a number of years and the last 2 years on this beat has been notable for the scarcity of Barbel.
There always another day !!!

No fish caught, only 1 swim viable as others to precarious to attempt getting down to(c. Slippery)
Never mind. Nice fishery tho,maybe next time!

No fish caught but only fished half a day as my rod broke!
Several large splashes seen but may have been pike.

Really good day, caught well in the morning, then after a quiet spell it picked up in the afternoon. Best fish 9.5lb.

Lovely stretch and the river was in good sorts. Pellet feeder was the method of the day and some really comfortable swims.

Nice stretch but the small road along the river very dodgy without a 4x4. Fish fell to pellet feeder, nothing special but nice to catch.

3 Barbel, 3 Chub

Tough goling today, 1 fished the first meadow with limited catches, 2 fished above the orchard with only a few bites...mostly pellet feeder.

not a good day, barbel and chub scarce, ended-up trotting for dace.
