1 Trout

Fished Lady Alexanders Catch and Abernant Stream for a few hours. Water looking good but no Salmon seen or caught. A beautiful spot - at one point an otter was fishing quite close to me as Red Kites soared overhead - so really can't complain as Tuesday mornings go!

River running too high and too strong. Wading was difficult against the current. No bites nor fish. Beautiful day but v. cold.

Six grayling to 12” and one oos trout of 10”. Most to a Stewart black spider.

Blank. Rose 5 inches and became thickly coloured as the day went on.

30 x grayling 7-17 inches, 2 x out of season trout 10 and 12 inches, trotting and Tenkara. Another very still day with the main river now down to 1ft 2 inches , running clear. Grayling of all sizes.

Excellent beat, although the grayling were fairly small (half pound).

9 Grayling

First hard frost of the autumn. River running at 1ft 9in, clear but with a lot of leaves. Fish hard to find. Ended up with 9 grayling, all between 8" and 10". Nine on gab and one on nymph. Was too fast to wade Abernant Stream so gave that a miss this time.

A good days fishing with the fish taking the fly most of the day. Fishing from 10:00 to 17:00, with a break for lunch. Weather cold and grey but mostly dry and river running well. Accidentally Caught one One Out of season trout and 23 Graylings of various sizes with 4 fish over 13 inches, the largest being 17 inches.
