Arrived to find a rising river in atrocious weather conditions. We dug in for a few hours, but only one nice Chub was caught
estimated 5lb. A lovely stretch of water, hope to return on a better day.

River very low and water temperature impacted by overnight frost and hail. Fished four swims each and found very few fish feeding even off the surface. Fish very finicky and bites few and far between.

First time on this beat, very pleasant sitting opposite the Weir Gardens although I never got a bite. River clear and low.

First cast provided a beautifully conditioned barbel of 8lb 15oz, everything looked set for an excellent day's fishing..!
However 9 hours later and various swims explored no further action was forth coming.
River is still very low and clear, hopefully recent rain within the region will spark things back to life.

River very low & clear. Caught lots of chublets on the float and mate had 2 barbel from beach area.
Lovely fishery but not so picturesque as it used to be, as it seems the gardens opposite have closed and become overgrown.

A great venue but very low clear water and bright sunshine did not make the fishing easy to say the least...!! On a positive note plenty of good Dace were caught on the float which saved the day from a fishing perspective and formations of Geese flying south in the evening sun was an enjoyable sight....Thanks to the WUF and fishery owners for making this cracking spot available to fish and will return again soon with the rain hopefully....!!
