Nothing!!

Arrived at 7 and baited swim and waited for an hour weather overcast but warm with drizzle,river is very low and clear I think it’s dropped about 12 inches since I was last here on Friday,no bites until a barbel of around 7lb at 10-30 then a solitary small chub approx 2lb at 11-30 groundbait feeder with hemp and pellets and meat on the hook.Left at 1-30 no more fish or bites.

Lovely fat Chubb ,thought it was a small salmon or sewin fish took a size 12 red Zelda . No sign of any salmon. Last day out for me on the wye this season.plenty of pike and trout but no target fish.

The pictures on FP did not disappoint. This is a beautiful place. Could not believe how many people visit here! On a Tuesday in late September including school trips it is no exaggeration to say between 100 - 150 people came to the Llyn. Access is easy and with a car park, cafe and facilities only a 15 minute walk away plus the incredible scenery you can see why it is so popular.

Fishing wise nothing to report. Conditions were challenging but not impossible just unrelenting wind that made only about a 1/3 of the Llyn fishable.
Couldn’t find a fish with anything from dry flies, wet flies, nymphs. Gin clear water and in better conditions probably a super mid week spot to try again.

Granted there are no bad days on the river. But today came close: hard work for little reward. The river had a low, glassy and clueless look and the weather was warm and windy, occasionally wildly so. There were precious few fish about. Even the places that had been generous back in May seemed void of life. I did register a couple of bumps on the nymphs and did finally land one, again on a nymph right up the top of the beat.

Low water and lack of access points to the river make for a limited day's fishing! Shame as its a lovely stretch!
Chub fell to pellet waggler and rolled meat!

Good days fishing as always at Home fishery, both anglers caught barbel from 6 lb up to 9 lb 2 with two nice 8lb fish. Fish in great condition and all fish actually looked bigger in the net than actually were.
