First time fishing this stretch, such a gorgeous bit of river, lush valley and some impressive trees, the river wasnt too bad either. 5 Grayling , 3 on sub surface nymphs, pink jobs and 2 off the top on small black flies. Also saw an otter with a cub. Will definately fish here again.

2 eels one just over 2.5lb the other a bootlace, and one small chublet ...smaller than the hook bait all caught on meat, water very low, must try later in the year ,beautiful place.

2 anglers fished swims from 09:00 to 15:00 without a solitary bite or sighting of a fish.
Conditions were low and clear and skies were largely bright, not ideal.
More work is required to open up the beat and to maintain the current available swims to make them safer to fish when the water is as low as it is.
