very poor fishing it seem like you have stopped stocking, on my side of the bank I was the only one to have caught a fish, we tried bottom, float and numerous flies.

Warm and sunny when I started but got cooler as the day went on. River still low and clear and the water surprisingly cold. Very little insect life or fish showing. Found a couple of fish rising around the middle of the beat. Only activity in one pool and it didn’t last long, managed to get one WBT of about 12” on the dry fly.

A beautiful stretch, plenty of swims at the bottom end. There are a couple of decent swims at the top end but going downstream to the Suspension Bridge swims are very limited. Not worth the price

A very enjoyable morning fishing. The fish seemed to come once the sun was up and the river had warmed the rather cold early morning. All fish taken on feeder tactics. Lost 1 fish which I think must have been a carp!! Totally different take and proceeded to take my line 30metres upstream. Managed to play it for 10mins before snapping me off which was a bit frustrating.

Another cracking little session today.... Fished between 11:45 and 14:30 ... i must say, spirited little fish as always here on the Edw.
Perhaps mh favourite beat on the system, with lots of variety . Must admit, she was nearly back to summer levels, and coolbsnf clear, with quite s fee leaves falling now !!! Good splashy takes at yhr too of pools, the usual haunts here...
Fish not big, but always fun on the dries . All season ive been on them. Stealth and presentation far more important than the finesse of your dry fly!!!
Again there was a small window when they were prepared to bsil the dry fly... only fished uo to thf bridge, great fun, and i must say that water is really cooling down in that gorge !!! Many more nights like the ones we've had, and it'll be just the big reservoirs for me, with only four days left of the rivers season .... its been a belter to be honest for both my clients and my own angling...Let's hope 2026 is just as good ....Happy days, time for baileys coffee ........
