River very low. I wish I brought felt soles the rocks were very slippery. Got two very nice trout on leader to hand tactics.
The directions have changed the there is no toilet sign and I think the layby mentioned has been filled in.

Very blustery day that prevented me from fishing dries. Fished the whole day with nymphs and netted 16 trout ranging from 6" to a whopping 20". Few mayflies, Brook Duns and BWOs coming off at lunchtime onwards, but the wind kept the fishes heads down in the deeper pools.

The river has dropped quite quickly after yesterday but was still fast flowing with some colour. Only fished to 1pm before heading home. No fly life in evidence and not a single trout rising. 3 trout caught on a nymph. 2 around 8 inches, the other about 11 inches.

Tough day, windy, cold and very very wet. One small trout and one missed is all in a lovely river.

River in good condition. Not the warmest of days and only a few flies coming off around lunchtime. Fished the French leader for the first few hrs and it produced 5 lovely trout the biggest being 17". Then the fish started to rise in the junction pool so I swapped to dry fly and took 2 small trout and missed about 4 others. The rise finished as quick as it started, so I prospected with the klink n dink for the last hr that produced a beautiful fish to 21". Good day all round.

Ever the optimist I hoped that the fish would be more cooperative than they were at Trallong the day before. Once again there was no shortage of insect life but virtually no sign of fish moving. My only fish, taken on a nymph from the Junction Pool at eight inches looked to be smaller than the one I saw in the mouth of a mink on the opposite bank lower down! I agree with the comment made by a previous angler regarding the barbed wire wound round the top of a firmly closed gate downstream of the farm - dangerous to life, limb and waders.
