River was at a good level but the sunshine may have took the edge off the sport, fished for 4 hours nymphs dries and spiders all brought fish but struggled to find interest . There’s worse places to be on a Sunday that’s for sure

3 Trout, 1 Grayling

Made it harder for myself by just fishing dries. Rose several, lost a few and netted one. All on deer hair emerger below the shepherds hut.

1 Grayling

Good river level. Overcast all day. A variety of small nymphs under a dry dropper just seemed to attract OOS trout. Most of the grayling were caught using a size 18 Griffith's Gnat.

5 Trout, 5 Grayling

3 bites but only one 12 inch grayling guess around a pound. Caught on a pink peacock nymph in the midsection of the beat

1 Grayling

First time on this beat and it’s really well looked after, incredibly picturesque and has some wonderful pools. Managed one Grayling on a nymph but it was definitely a worthy one - good size. Also a few out of season spotties as expected

4 Trout, 1 Grayling

A lovely five hours at Craig Llyn. Sunshine, warmth, good flows and lots of fish rising made it feel like being on the river in May.
Many of the fish were tight to the banks under the trees so it might have been some sort of terrestrial they were taking. However, they seemed happy enough with a small cdc emerger. The biggest grayling was weighed in the net at a shade under 1lb but the numbers and almost constant dry fly action made up the lack of specimens today.

11 Trout, 12 Grayling

A superb autumn day with clear water and normal flow. All the action took place at the heads of the pools using a Quill V Fly with a ping tag, around midday.

9 Grayling

Grayling up to 16 inches, all on nymphs. Stunning beat.

3 Trout, 7 Grayling

Outstanding beat with varied lies. Great weather conditions. Challenging wading. Friendly greeting from owner. Little fly life. Fished with both dry and wet but no takers. Will definitely return.
